Too much screen time can rob us of who we’re meant to be

On average, we spend 4 hours a day on our device. So we teamed up with monks and nuns to help you replace unhealthy screen time with an enduring plan of life.

What is your phone costing you?

Drag the slider to your daily screen time. You’ll find yours in Settings › Screen Time.

30-Days to replace lost screen time with a Plan of Life

The 30-day Screen Time to Monk Plan is for those looking for greater freedom from the grip their devices have on them.

This is for you if you…

What You Will Do

  1. A hooded monk standing alone, looking out over an autumn hillside.

    01

    Set Your ‘Why’

We’ll lead you through a meditative exercise to set your ‘why’ and your principles for device usage that will shape how you engage with technology and media during the Cohort and beyond.

  2. A nun writing at a desk beside a bright window.

    02

    Identify your triggers

Recognize the times, moods, situations and apps that lead to compulsive phone use.

  3. Monks standing in a row of choir stalls during the daily office.

    03

    Make concrete commitments

Create phone-free periods, configure app blocking and change the environments that reinforce unwanted habits.

  4. Three sisters laughing on a beach with their arms in the air.

    04

    Build your Monk Plan

The Monk Plan is designed by monks and nuns to help you to live in greater freedom. We will guide you to establish intentional rhythms for:

    • Prayer
    • Focused work
    • Community & family relationships
    • Detachment from challenging areas
    • Sleep and wellness

This helps you to not just white-knuckle it, but to replace your new found time with healthy habits and routines.

  5. Two monks walking side by side down a row of autumn vines.

    05

    Practice until it becomes sustainable

Use guided meditations, weekly accountability and live troubleshooting to turn short-term changes into lasting habits.

FAQ

What if I already have a Monk Mindset app subscription? Can I still join the Live Cohort?

Annual app subscribers who join the cohort can roll forward the full value of their app subscription to get an additional full year free of the Monk Mindset app, regardless of when you started your app subscription.

If you join the cohort and already have an annual subscription, we’ll send you a code for another full year free of the Monk Mindset app as a thank you.

Is it ok if I have to miss some of the sessions?

We encourage you to attend all of the sessions to get the most out of the experience but we understand that things come up if you need to miss one or two of the sessions. We’ll email out the recording of the teaching part of the sessions to everyone but you will miss the accountability groups segment.

What is the schedule of the live sessions?
  • Prayer, intro, & recap
  • Guided Meditations that help you identify where you are and set real commitments for sustained change
  • Live Q&A to resolve your toughest questions
  • Breakout small groups - meet with your own accountability small group
What happens in the small groups?

You’ll be assigned a same-gender small group for the duration of the cohort. In this group you’ll share goals and what both helps and hinders your commitment to change, finding support with peers.

Will you offer this again in the future if I’m not ready to do it now?

Maybe! If you’re not able to make this but interested in staying in touch for future possible cohorts, please join the Monk Mindset newsletter where we announce new releases and experiences!

I’m concerned about privacy. What measures are you taking for proper privacy in this setting?

We seek to respect all participant privacy. This is extremely important to us. Participants will not be viewable on screen during any recorded segments to respect your privacy. Small group discussion will be completely private and not recorded.

Do I have to be Catholic or Christian to join?

No. The Cohort and app experience are designed by the experience of Catholic monks & nuns, so it will include content and frameworks from the Catholic tradition. But the experience is designed to be accessible by anyone.

Do you offer a refund if I’m not satisfied?

Yes, we offer a full money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the experience. To be eligible for a refund, you must:

  • Attend at least four of the five live sessions.
  • Complete the weekly exercises and check-ins.
  • Create and implement your Monk Plan.
  • Request the refund within 7 days after the final session.

Note: Full refunds will lose the app access included with the cohort.

Still deciding? Join the newsletter and we’ll let you know when the next cohort opens.
